Xiaomi is making an impact in Europe with the releases of their smartphones in UK and Ireland. At the annual China Mobile Partner Conference in Beijing, Xiaomi unveiled a 5G version of its latest flagship Xiaomi Mi Mix 3.
In the demo, Xiaomi showed how you can surf the web and stream live videos with more speed through the upcoming 5G network.
The biggest change made in Mi Mix 3 is that it features the latest launched Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset and, as a result, it is going to support 5G.
The company has now announced that they are going to release Mi Mix 3 with 5G support in Europe in the first half of 2019.
The regular version runs on the Snapdragon 845, the processor that was found in many Android phones in 2018.
According to the company, the latest released Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 improve the performance by 45% as compared to the previous Snapdragon 845.
And moreover, Adreno 640 GPU is said to improve the performance by 20% as compared to previous Adreno 630. There’s a lot more to 5G than just higher speeds, as well.
Xiaomi has been working on 5G technology since 2016, and to achieve this purpose they partnered with one of China’s largest carriers, China Mobile, to explore more applications of the nascent tech.
