MI band 4 is one of the most affordable fitness bands available in the market with a number of premium features and it has just got a significant improvement on the latest version. Xiaomi has come out with the fourth version of the Mi band which brings many desired upgrades over the last generation. The company has not yet released the exact date of the launch.
Internally the Mi band 4 remains largely the same as the previous generation as the performance was not lacking and didn’t need immediate improvement. There are, however many subtle changes in the hardware and features of this fitness band and you will have to look closely to notice them.
The new Super AMOLED Colour Display is the most talked about improvement in the new Mi band 4. The new 0.95-inch colour display with the resolution of120×240 can be noticed right away and it gives the band a very distinct and premium look. Mi Band 4’s 2.5D curved display has 400nits brightness and looking at the specs, it is more than 2 times taller than the previous generation.
The design of the band is the same as the previous generation and upgrading from Mi Band 3 to the latest version will be easy as the new band is compatible with the straps of Mi band 3. The charging port has been relocated from one end to the side which can be noticed fairly easily once you take it out from the strap.
Mi Band has 3 band faces and users have the ability to add a fourth band face using the Mi-Fit App on their smartphones which is necessary to run the band. The colour display makes a lot of difference in the usability of the device and users will notice it right away once they upgrade to the new version of the Mi Band.
