One of the most awaited features for Xbox One is to attach a keyboard and mouse and finally be able to play games with them and this feature is coming for the Xbox next week, but for the Insiders Program users first.
Microsoft has confirmed that starting from 14th November, a total of seven games will support the peripheral devices which include the famous Fortnite and Warframe, with another seven games to follow soon after.
Bomber Crew, Deep Rock Galactic, Strange Brigade, Vermintide 2, War Thunder and X-Morph Defense are the other Xbox One titles which will be getting the support. Children of Morta, DayZ, Minion Master, Moonlighter, Vigor, Warface, and Wargroove are the other titles which will soon get the support.
On Xbox’s website, Microsoft said that:
When the update launches next week, all developers will have the tools they need to create tailored mouse and keyboard experiences for their games as they see fit to ensure a fair and fun experience for fans.
To promote mice and keyboards for its consoles Xbox One S and Xbox One X, Microsoft is launching a special program and Razer, the popular gaming hardware company is leading the charge and says it will debut some hardware for Xbox consoles at CES 2019 which is held every year in January. Others companies will soon join the party in the upcoming time.
Explaining about the mice and keyboards, Microsoft stated that:
[Designed for Xbox peripherals] are created for living room or desktop scenarios, come equipped with a dedicated Xbox key, and support the new Xbox Dynamic Lighting feature – enabling immersive in-game lighting effects.
The peripheral devices support will be available for the Insiders starting from 14th November but there is no time frame that when will it be available for everyone.
After it’s rollout, it will be up to the developers that whether they want to include the support for additional hardware in their games or not.
