WhatsApp adding new improvements to group calling features

It was recently reported that WhatsApp beta for iOS is testing video playback inside push notifications. Now, the social chat app has rolled out another update through TestFlight, and it brings along new group calling UI improvements.

It allows the users to start a group call with selected members from a group directly through a new group calling button introduced recently in groups.

This new feature by WhatsApp makes the calling process more simple and easy than the one that exists currently.

This latest update of Whatsapp beta version 2.18.110.17 adds much more new features to group calls and is only available for iOS at the moment. These updates are not yet released for Android users.

To make this possible only the contact numbers which are saved in your contacts will available for the group calls.

So the group members whose numbers are not saved in your contact list won’t be shown for the group calls. The group calling limit set by Whatsapp is 4, so the users can add up to 3 people to the group call.

Only the beta users of the Whatsapp have access to this feature at the moment, but WhatsApp should roll it out to all WhatsApp for iOS users soon.
