Sony Xperia XZ, XZs and X Performance gets December Security update

Recently Sony was in headlines as their upcoming devices were leaked online and today we have another news for all Sony fans out there. A number of devices from Sony has received a new update. This update brings some changes about which we will discuss later in the article, mainly the update has arrived on the X-series devices, so without wasting any further time let’s jump to the information.

The update is arriving for the some Sony devices namely Sony Xperia XZ, Xperia XZs and the Xperia X performance, in case you are wondering this the new Android 8.1 Oreo update then you may be wrong as this update mainly aims to bring improved security features in the following devices. No new features have been listed in the update I-e no changelog has been provided by the brand but we believe that along with increasing security this update will also effect under the hood performance of the device.

This update includes the latest December 1 security patch which aims to fix some vulnerabilities, it is arriving with the version number of 41.3.A.2.24 and is based on Android 8.0.0.
