It looks like the Japanese tech giant is back and ready to disrupt this year’s consumer electronics show that’s happening in Nevada, Las Vegas with not only one but three new smartphones. Sony has launched three new smartphones in CES 2018. Among the three the Xperia XA2 and XA2 Ultra are the mid-range devices, and the Xperia L2 is an entry-level device from Sony.
Sony Xperia XA2 and XA2 Ultra
Both the smartphones belong to the mid-range category of devices from Sony. Both the smartphones are powered by Snapdragon 630 processor and are almost identical regarding design. Coming into the camera both the XA2 and the XA2 Ultra are having a 23MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture. To the front the XA2 is having an 8MP fixed focus camera and the XA2 Ultra is having a 16MP autofocus camera.
The smartphones have an aluminum finish on the back with 3.5d front glass along with chamfered edge on the sides. The fingerprint scanner is on the rear of the phones just below the camera module.
The XA2 is having a 5.2inch 1080p display while the XA2 Ultra has a 6inch 1080p display. The XA2 comes in 3GB/32GB variant, on the other hand, the XA2 Ultra comes with 4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of internal memory expandable via a micro SD card.
Sony Xperia L2
The Xperia L2 is having a 5.5inch 720p display, powered by MediaTek MT6737T processor with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory. Coming to the camera, the device has a 13MP rear camera with the 8MP front camera along with a 3,300mAh battery.
The device is having a fingerprint scanner on the back just like the XA2 and XA2 Ultra. It will be running on Sony’s custom skin on top of Android 7.1.1 nougat. Regarding connectivity options, it has LTE, USB-C, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, GPS, Bluetooth 4.2 and NFC capabilities.
