Samsung launches the new Galaxy TAB A 7.0 designed for kids

Samsung still hasn’t given up on the Android Tablet market and has launched a new tab targeting Kids to the younger generation. This newly launched TAB A 7.0, is decently priced at 9,500/- INR but can get it for just 5,000/- INR with Reliance Jio offer.

The design is typically Samsung, like every other Tab that the company launches, and as you guess from the name, yes it has a 7-inch HD display, yet unknown whether AMOLED or LCD, but Samsung say’s it has superior viewing angles and color reproduction.

Specs-wise, it has enough power to do what’s it’s designed for, that’s media consumption. It is powered by a Quad Core chip clocked at 1.5GHz. In the memory department, you get see typically Samsung cost cutting with just 1.5GB of RAM with internal storage at just 8GB. However, it supports SD-card, up to 200GB.

Apart from that, Camera’s will be also disappointing with the rear shooter coming at 5 MP with auto-focusing, and the front is a 2 MP decent for quick video calls. Fortunately, Samsung also includes a LED Flash on the rear. It is powered by a decent 4000mAh battery, which should give you up to 9 hours of usage according to Samsung.

Now the distinct feature of this tablet is that it has Kids mode, built-in as that’s what the target audience is, of this device. In this you get parental controls that let you control, what your kids should view on this device and along with that; Samsung has also added Education content, to ensure, kids also take advantage of this big screen, to learn.

To avail this Galaxy Tab A 7.0, for Rs. 5,000/- on Jio, you have to sign-up for a 2-year contract with Jio, with the Rs.299 Plan. The discounted amount of Rs.2000 will be credited to your Jio money account after you pay for the 1st 12months and the remaining amount after the 2nd 12 month period. WIll be available offline as well as on Amazon in Black and White options.
