Samsung’s next big thing has been in leaks since the last couple of months, and we have seen many things from CAD drawings to 3D renders and now what we have here is taking these leaks game much further and confirming many things. What we have here are the live images of the Galaxy S9’s rear panel, posted on the Chinese micro-blogging site Weibo.
They look just like what the rumors and CAD leaks have pointed out, that’s the replacement of the fingerprint sensor to a much readily accessible position, that’s under the camera sensor. The Galaxy S9’s standard variant which is what we see here will only have a single camera shooter, while the plus option gets the dual-camera setup which seems imminent in this leaked picture of its rear panel.
You can see that the camera cut out isn’t that elongated where it can house two sensors and also a fingerprint sensor. So, this has to be the Galaxy S9 standard variant here. An excellent single camera is always better then dual-cameras and the Google Pixel 2 is a good example of this.
Moreover, the device is said to be launched much earlier than expected probably in the Late Feb to mid-March and might see a sneak peek during the CES 2018. However, you wouldn’t be able to purchase it until late April 2018.
