Samsung India’s website today showcased a new device which will be launched in the Indian market pretty soon. This new handset is a Galaxy J4 a budget phone aimed to replace the Galaxy J3 and it today popped-up on Samsung India’s support page. Moreover, the device’s model number is SM-J400F/DS; DS could mean Dual-sim maybe? The device existence was first noted when Samsung’s entire 2018 line-up was leaked, and we saw new members in each series, and one of them is the Galaxy J4.
The budget-oriented device is powered by an Exynos 7570 chipset which is clocked at 1.4GHz. On the memory side, the Galaxy J4 is paired with 2GB of RAM which is acceptable for a device of this caliber. Moving ahead, the front of the Galaxy J4 sports a large 5.5-inch 18:9 ratio display, we hope that this one comes with an AMOLED display and might carry HD+ resolution. The handset will be running on Android Oreo 8.0 with Samsung User Experience 9.0 on top of Android.
Apart from that, the battery on the Galaxy J4 will be a sub 3000mAh power pack, with no quick charge support and as always Samsung will skimp on some essential sensors. Talking about the Pricing, the Galaxy J4 is expected to hit the Indian markets at a retail price of 10K or less and will be mainly sold in brick and mortar shops, rather than being an Online exclusive.
Samsung will soon introduce the Galaxy J6 the Galaxy A6/A6+ and also the Galaxy C10 by this fall before the mighty Galaxy Note 9 arrives.
