PUBG free version introduced for Xbox

PUBG which is also known as Player’s Unknown Battleground has been introduced for free to download on Xbox One today by Microsoft. Its free version is released for a limited amount of time. You can download PUBG from Microsoft’s store and play it right away.

Microsoft in the past had promised a “big news” for PUBG fans at the company’s X018 event last Saturday, and part of that was the free PUBG promotion.

There is no exact date given by Microsoft for this limited free version of PUBG, or whether existing PUBG fans will receive in-game credits for paying to test a beta version of the game over the past year. PUBG did appear on Xbox game preview last year and it was valued at $29.99.

This free promotion of PUBG by Microsoft comes at a very key phase as there are certain rumors that the game is set to launch for PlayStation 4 in December. If these reports are based on reality and truth then it means that Microsoft had a contract with PUBG for just one year.

During this year, users have faced performance issues that have plagued the game on the base Xbox One, and PUBG is currently sitting at three out of fives stars for reviews in the Microsoft Store.
