Honor users are eagerly waiting for the successor of the last year’s Honor V10 flagship phone.
The expected date of the announcement of the Honor V20 is 22 January in Paris. However, like last year, the company may launch the same phone as Honor V20 in China.
The Chinese smartphone maker has now begun sending the official invitations for the China launch of the Honor V20 phone. The invite which was received by CNMO has told that Honor V20 will be officially launched on 26/12/2018. The smartphone is going to feature a 48-megapixel camera.
It is also reported that the Honor V20 is going to be featured with something called 3D Camera through which it will be easy for the users to make3D models of people and objects for AR. This also shows that the phone will also be having a TOF (Time of Flight) 3D stereo camera.
On the other side, Xiaomi is also ready to launch a 48-megapixel phone in the very distant future.
The company’s co-founder and president, Lin Bin uploaded a picture to Weibo of an unknown smartphone featuring the “48MP camera” beside the lens. And according to Lin, it will be coming in January.
In the past mobile phones with such high-resolution sensors have been made such as Nokia’s 41-megapixel 808 PureView and Lumia 1020, but there are too many factors around software, size, and optics to really compare the implementation.
