HMD’s Nokia has already launched the Nokia 2.1 earlier this year, but the Finnish giant hasn’t neglected the old Nokia 2 launched last year and is treating the little entry-level device with Android Oreo Update. Nokia’s beta labs now have the new Android Oreo 8.x.x update for the Nokia 2 for beta testing, and a limited number of users can join this program for now, until a stable version of the software update comes out for every single user around the globe. As this is a beta update, Nokia expects you to understand what it’s like to use an unfinished version of the software.
So expect some bugs and glitches here and there. Normal consumers who want their essential apps and features to work proper need not want to try this update. And should wait till the final stable version arrives. With the new Android Oreo 8, you get the latest features such as the highly awaited picture in picture mode, which takes the multi-tasking to the next level, while the inclusion of Auto-fill forms and revamped notification channels makes life much easier.
The update is available for download, and you can head over to the link given below. Sign up for the Oreo beta for your Nokia 2, and you will get your pass for Oreo beta testing. Another thing to note here is that this one brings the Android Oreo Go edition of OS, which is much more lightweight and highly optimized for entry-level devices and doesn’t put a lot of strain on resources. And after you sign in you will get a notification to download the beta Oreo ROM on your handset.
