Niantic And Qualcomm’s PartnerShip To Make AR Glasses.

AR or Augmented Reality is something that is no longer just on papers. You must have already seen a lot of news and rumors on how tech giants are working on AR. Most of the usual AR related news are on AR glasses that are under work and this is kind of similar. Not too long ago Apple was said to be working on its AR glasses that are not really confirmed but it was rumored. Now a great forward step was taken towards the AR concept as Qualcomm decided to bring its chip for AR and mixed reality gadgets. It was Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Tech Summit where the Snapdragon XR2 was introduced along with other snapdragon chips.

The recent partnership of Niantic and Qualcomm got a bit twisted after the two companies provided different press announcements. These two companies are going to work on making AR glasses with the new Snapdragon that Qualcomm has. While both want to make AR glasses there are things that both of them seek. Qualcomm wants to develop hardware for AR glasses powered by Qualcomm. Niantic, on the other hand, wants to have Snapdragon XR2 on in its Real World Program.

Qualcomm’s Snapdragon XR2 is completely different from anything AR has used so for as this supports 5G. AR will be more accessible with the Snapdragon XR2 that will let the AR Glasses cross with 5G connectivity. This chip will also have enough power to allow 3k display n each eye with a high frame rate and multiple sensors. AR glasses will be used without connecting to other devices and will support 8k 360° video. Great AR glasses Powered by Qualcomm are to be made by these two companies as they are working as partners for now.
