Xiaomi’s next major flagship is going to be the Mi 7, but the rumor-mill had also treated us many times with a possible existence of a Xiaomi Mi 6X and from earlier leaks. And a Youtuber has managed to prep-up some nice looking renders of the device, based on all the leaks and the thing looks entirely legit and might be disappointing for some as well.
These new renders of the Mi 6X show that the device is 90% similar to Apple’s iPhone X. The rear is all-glass and has the same traffic signal like camera cluster on the back, and it has also been positioned to the leftmost side, like the iPhone X. However, this one does have a fingerprint sensor on the rear, while on the front we have an 18:9 aspect ratio display.
Moreover, the display doesn’t have any notch on the front like the iPhone X. The QHD IPS LCD edge-to-edge display gives the device an immersive look while the front and the top bezels are still present, they might house the front firing speaker, maybe?
Furthermore, about the specs, the device will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chip which is powering all the major flagship in 2018. memory configurations range from 6GB/64GB to 8GB/128GB options. It was earlier rumored that this device might have Xiaomi’s own Surge S2 chip, and just recently the OEM opened a new R&D center in Shenzhen, China. So, is it for the development of the new processors also?
This and many other such questions will get cleared when the device receives a possibly announce at MWC 2018 at Barcelona, Spain.
