Vivo’s upcoming Y series is again in leaks, and this time, the devices have passed TENNA which is the Chinese equivalent of the FCC. This means the images of the new Vivo Y75S and the Vivo Y83 are now out as well the specs that they’ll be carrying has been leaked. The Vivo Y75S is an upgraded Y75, while the Y83 is a new member of the Y family. Design wise the typical sleek Vivo look is here, without a notch or a bezel-less display.
Moreover, these are all budget device which will sit below the premium Vivo V9 handset. The Y75S is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset, which is coupled with 4GB of RAM and 32GB or 64GB storage options, with an ability to expand via micro-sd card slot up to 256GB. On the front, the device has a 5.99-inch 18:9 ratio HD+ IPS LCD. On the back, we have a single shooter which is a 13 MP sensor along with a fingerprint sensor, and on the front a 16 MP selfie snapper is present. Keep-in it alive is a decent 3150mAh power pack and it, unfortunately, runs on Android Nougat 7.1.2 (FuntouchOS 3.2).
Furthermore, the Vivo Y83 is packing an unknown Octa-Core chip clocked at 2.0GHz paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. On the front, this has an even larger 6.2-inch 18:9 IPS panel with HD++ resolution. This one also sports a single camera which is a 13 MP sensor while the front has an 8MP selfie snapper. Interestingly, this will ship with Android Oreo 8.1 (FuntouchOS 4.0)out of the box. The battery on the Vivo Y83 is a hair larger than the Y75S at 3180mAh.
