Xiaomi is known for flooding the market with various devices. However, the company doesn’t only do budget phones, but also push the boundaries of smartphone markets with phones like Mi Mix 2s and the new Xiaomi gaming phone Black Shark. Now, what we have here is another mysterious handset from the Chinese giant on geekbench. The device is codenamed as Valentino and from the specs of it, looks like this is a high-end device or a premium upper-midrange device.
Starting with the geekbench score, the Xiaomi Valentino scores 1485 for single core, while the multi-core score is 5440. The processor is said to be an SDM638, which isn’t announced yet or this device might be the one to debut with a Snapdragon 638, which said to be an Octa-Core chip clocked at 1.44GHz. On the memory side, 6GB RAM is listed on geekbench and storage capacity will be either 32GB to a 64GB variant.
Currently, the device runs on Android Oreo 8.1 which must be the MIUI 9.5.4 and will surely get the Android P 9.0 Update when it comes out, as now it’s official as a beta. Moreover, other details such as the camera sensor and battery of the device are not yet known. But expect the battery to be anywhere from 3500mAh to 4000mAh. A Dual-Camera setup should also be expected on the rear.
As far as the codename is concerned, Valentino means strong and masculine in Italian, so think of this device close to those references. And now Xiaomi has officially entered the European markets, could this be an exclusive regional phone? Or a rebranded upgraded device.
