WhatsApp is one of the most popular online messaging apps in the world right now and millions of people use it to communicate on a daily basis around the world. It is a free app that anybody can use on their devices and it is supported on almost all the major operating systems such as Android, iOS, windows and many more.
If you have been using WhatsApp on your device then you must know the struggle of muting a chat that you don’t want to engage in. not everyone wants to chat with a group of people and many times you are added to a group chat without you wanting to participate. there is no solution for that and you just keep receiving the notifications from that group every time somebody messages. This can get very annoying very fast but thankfully there is an option to mute the chat so you will no longer receive any notifications no matter who is texting in the group. The participants of that WhatsApp group can still reach you if they mention you in the message specifically. But there is however a catch, WhatsApp does not offer an option to mute a WhatsApp group for an indefinite amount of time.
This is all about to change because WhatsApp is rolling out a new feature where the user will be able to mute a chat for an indefinite amount of time and it will stay muted until the user decides to unmute it. now you will no longer receive unwanted notifications from the WhatsApp group that you don’t want to associate with and you can just mutate and let the messages roll without even having to exit the group and seem rude to the people who have added you.
