Chinese smartphone maker Meizu who is known for designing something out of the box and quirky devices, take for instance last year the company made a smartphone which featured a secondary display at the rear of the device and it was circular, very cool idea. And a now this year looks like the company will be debuting its new device known as the Blu S6 on 17th Jan, which is just two day’s away.
The mBlu S6 just leaked today as promo posters, which revealed some of its specs as well as confirmed two major highlights of the device. Starting with the first significant feature here is the side mounted fingerprint scanner, which you can see in the image below. Side mounted fingerprint readers aren’t a new thing, we have seen them last year in the Razer phone and also on multiple Sony Xperia devices. However, its good that the trend continues, because it is the second most ideal place, where fingerprint readers should be placed because that’s is also a natural placement for your fingers when you first hold the device if you ask me, try it!
Apart from that, another thing confirmed here is that the device will be powered by a Samsung Exynos chip, earlier it was reported to be an Exynos 7872 chip which is an Hexa-core chip based on ARM four Cortex A53 core and two high-performance A73 Cores.
On the front of the device, you have a 5.7-inch 18:9 ratio Full-HD plus display, 3GB RAM and 32GB storage all your typical mid-range specs. Keeping the lights on is a decent 3000mAh battery pack, and topping it up will be done via 18W quick charger. We’ll be covering what other features it has to offer when Meizu unveils it on 17th Jan, so stay tuned for that.
