iPhone 11 reported to have faster WiFi but no confirmation about 5G

It’s been 4 months since iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR were released by Apple, which indicates that now we should start thinking about what features will be included in the 2019 iPhones.

According to the new reports, iPhone 11could have the latest support for Wi-Fi 6, also known as 802.11ax: the fastest Wi-Fi standard in existence. At the moment, most of us are on Wi-Fi 5.

Which means that there is going to be a big increase in the speed of WiFi, for instance, you are sitting in a fast food shop and have the broadband connection to support it, and a Wi-Fi 6 router all set up and ready to go.

Depending on the setup you’re connecting to, you might see speeds get doubled at least, with potential improvements that are much greater.

The update in WiFi is all about the speed, reliability, and capacity as well. The upcoming upgrade of WiFi is going to gain widespread adoption in 2019, can provide more stable connections and support more devices simultaneously.

And about 5G there have been reports before that it won’t come in iPhones before 2020 but comments made by Apple executive Tony Blevins in an antitrust trial involving Qualcomm suggest the company is looking up its options for which 5G chips to use.

There was no indication as to when these 5G chips are going to be used, but as it sounds though iPhone fans might have to wait another year before this particular cellular upgrade arrives.
