Huawei MediaPad M5 Clears the FCC, 3D Renders Leaked

Huawei has recently launched a couple of new devices including the Honor 9 Lite, Honor 7X, Honor V10, etc. but from a while, we haven’t seen any new from the house of Huawei regarding Tablets. Huawei has their MediaPad Tablet series which were updated last year, and in recent, some leaks of the upcoming tabs in MediaPad-series got revealed. The latest revealation shows some valuable data about the tabs so without spending any time on starters let’s jump to the main course.

Earlier rumors have suggested that the upcoming tabs will be named as the MediaPad M5 and now some 3D renders/FCC listing is there which gives us a reasonable amount of information about the devices. The latest images reveal that the device will come in two variants: MediaPad M5 8.4(inch) and the MediaPad M5 10.1(inch). Firstly, the major fact disclosed by the FCC listing is that the Tab will house a massive 4980mAh battery.

As per the 3D renders, the MediaPad 8.4(inch) will come with a Home button(Fingerprint Scanner), and it is placed on the display panel. The side display bezels are smaller, the front camera is present at the upper center part, and the rear camera has been placed in the top left corner. One can also notice the Antenna lines passing on the rear panel. For charging, the device will incorporate a USB Type-C port, and the speaker grille is present at the bottom.

MediaPad 10.1(inch) will come with a Home button(Fingerprint Scanner), and the location differs as it is larger. The location for the speaker grille is also different from the small variant, and it is present at the top when noticed from the landscape form. In all, the location for Camera and other hardware has been adjusted as per the design requirements. As per the leaks, the two devices will get power from a Hi-Silicon Kirin 960 SoC, and they may get official in the upcoming MWC 2018.
