HMD Global is expected to launch a bunch of Nokia Branded smartphones at this year’s Mobile World Congress (MWC 2018) including the Nokia 1, Nokia 7, Nokia 8(2018), and the company’s flagship device for 2018 the Nokia 9.
HMD Global’s Chief Executive Officer Juho Sarvikas tweeted on Thursday that he has been “super busy” planning for this year’s Mobile World Congress which is happening in Barcelona, Spain. He also wrote at the end of the tweet “please except it to be awesome.”He didn’t give any details regarding devices that the company is expected to launch at this year’s MWC, but we might see a bunch of devices, including the company’s first Android Oreo Go Edition smartphone the Nokia 1 which is expected to have 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory.
The company is also expected to launch its flagship device for the current year the Nokia 9. According to the recent leaks, the device might come with a 5.5inch display with 2K resolution, powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal memory.
Coming to the camera, the device is most likely to have a dual camera setup (12MP+13MP) on the back and a 5MP front-facing camera along with a 3,250mAh battery that supports fast charging.
The Finland based company is also expected to announce a 4G variant of the classic Nokia 3310. However, nothing has been confirmed by the company yet so it would be interesting to see what Nokia has planned for this year’s MWC.
