Google Back up and Sync for Desktop gets a major update
Google drive client for desktop saw a major update previously, which had its fair share of issues which have been fixed now, however, since then the Back-up and Sync haven’t see any update, until today. The latest update brings various features for the desktop app and now let’s check out what new has been added and changed.
Ignore via file extensions
You can now ignore files with a particular extension with this new feature. And you can find it by heading over to My Computer, in the backup and Sync section, where you’ll find Change advanced settings click on it. Then you can just enter the extension you want to ignore being added to your drive.
This feature allows you to switch between syncing only your files and folders or just Photos and videos. This feature can also be found in My Computer section of the back and sync and within it click on change to get to this setting. This feature will be helpful if you’re sending pictures back and forth on your phone to computer or vice versa.
Other new features include alerts will be sent to users when the app can’t convert pictures to High-Quality. Exiting the app now won’t take any longer like it used to do earlier; Syncing folder with just a flick of a switch is now also available.
