Several people on the internet are reporting that they are having a problem accessing Facebook just after 1 pm GMT.
According to some news websites, there have been many reports regarding this problem with Facebook from far and wide – including countries like USA, Vietnam, Argentina, Pakistan, India, UK and many more.
This problem started to appear just after 1 pm GMT after a short outage in the morning as well.
It follows a loss of Facebook messenger several days ago – the fourth in recent weeks
Users of Facebook are getting the ‘service unavailable’ message when they are trying to use Facebook in many parts of the world such as Toronto, London.
Most of the people are saying that it is ‘total blackout’ with a third having trouble logging in and one in five reporting problems with the Facebook app.
Users are reporting problems on desktop and mobile versions. The majority of reports are coming from the East Coast of the USA and Western Europe.
Instagram has been hit by a similar outage that is preventing the users from using the app.
It’s not clear if the two outages were connected, though they are both parts of Facebook’s broad network of companies.
Instagram and Facebook outages rarely occur, but they can have a major and significant impact upon the users around the world. Billions of people access Facebook’s family of products each day, meaning that even the shortest issue can hit hundreds of millions of people.
