Dell PC is no longer required for Dell Mobile Connect

It seems like there has been a rebirth of interest in making tools that connect PCs and Phones together making them work smoothly with one another without any difference. Dell released the Dell Mobile Connect at the start of this year before Microsoft made Your Phone as an official part of Windows.

At the launch of Dell Mobile Connect, it was revealed that it can only be useful for Dell PCs. Now it seems Dell has decided to expand its brand more by making it available for all computers as long as they support a Bluetooth connection.

The reason behind the expansion of Dell Mobile Connect is really simple to understand. With the Windows 10 app installed on the PC and mobile app installed on an Android or iOS device, the Bluetooth link would let users access their phone from their computer. This can help in receiving calls, getting notifications and many other things.

There have been many such tools in the market before, such as Samsung’s SideSync/Flow to third-party solutions like AirDroid for Android phones. The problem with these tools is that they have limited functionality. But Dell Mobile Connect is one of the few tools that is useable on many platforms.

It doesn’t guarantee it would work for everyone. And while its use Bluetooth makes the setup easier in cases were Wi-Fi or even Wi-Fi tethering isn’t available, it could mean that the connection between PC and smartphone can be a little bit slow at times.
