Last year was the search giant’s first official appearance in years at the CES. With round two, Google looks to make an even bigger splash.
CES 2019 is going to kick off on 8th January in Las Vegas, Google is focusing on Google Assistant and the company’s smart home ecosystem is poised to outdo last year’s massive presence, when “Hey Google” ads and signs were everywhere you looked.
The exhibitor list for CES 2019 shows that Google will have even massive and more centrally located outdoor booth than last year.
They are going to triple its 6,000 square feet of exhibit space at CES 2018, this year Google’s CES exhibition space is total of 18,000 square feet. That massive figure doesn’t count space in more than 30 hospitality suites Google snapped up for additional displays, interviews, and meetings.
It is not confirmed that whether what Google is going to feature at CES 2019 until the pre-show media days begin on Sunday, January 6. The increasing number of Google Assistant-compatible third-party devices are going to play a massive role this year, just as they did at CES 2018.
There have been some rumors regarding the things Google is going to reveal at CES. Google’s Pixelbook is still one of the most capable Chromebooks, but a new model which was expected this past October may make its debut in Las Vegas next week.
According to Avi Greengart, an analyst at GlobalData, for Google, the push at CES isn’t just about the number of users they are going to make interested in using Google Assistant. It’s part of a bigger plan in trying to make Google services and devices central to every aspect of people’s lives.
