Asus is releasing new devices back to back in the market these days and is creating a lot of hype, especially with their Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1, as they’re first ever phone with a stock UI out of the box. However, with the unveiling of their first ever phone which is Asus Zenfone Live L1 they have stepped into the world of Android Go, which is a lightweight, optimized, Android operating system brought by Google back in December, last year. Since then several manufacturers tried to adopt this optimized OS and also came up with several entry-level smartphones running on this OS at an affordable price point.

According to the recent reports, the phone was first introduced at Mobile World Congress earlier this year and will be officially launching in Indonesia on 17th May 2018. It is also expected that the phone will be on sale from mid-May, apart from that Asus also suggests that the phone will also be released in Europe as well but didn’t mention any other specific details about it. But as of now, there is no such information regarding its pricing and availability.

With that said the phone would be having a 5.45-inch HD+IPS (1440×720 pixels) display in a Full View 18:9 aspect ratio format, though there is substantial bezel around it, featuring a polycarbonate body.

It will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 1.4GHz quad-core SoC, coupled with a 16gigs of onboard internal storage which is expandable up to 2TB using the hybrid microSD/SIM card tray along with 1/2 GB RAM variants. The 2 GB RAM variant will be running ZenUI 5.0 on top of Android Oreo GO & the 1 GB variant will have the stock version of Android Oreo Go and will come with Google’s optimized Android Oreo Go apps preinstalled right out of the box.

The phone will be running on a 3000mAh battery, as far as the camera specs are concerned like other Android Go device which features a decent camera, here Asus Zenfone Live L1 will hold a 13-megapixel rear shooter with the support of PDAF and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with the face unlock availability.

Apart from that, the phone will also have the support a triple slot which means it’ll have a dedicated MicroSD card slot along with two sim slots, 4G VoLTE capability, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, FM radio, micro USB, and surprisingly a 3.5mm headphone jack. Moreover, consumers will get a whole host of color option including Rose Pink, Midnight Black, Blue, and White color.
