If this news is true, it means that the long-delayed wireless charging mat could finally reach the hands of consumers before too much longer.
It was announced by Apple in September 2017, that they are going to launch wireless charging capabilities in with the iPhone 8 and iPhone X, and gave a preview for its own wireless charging mat that would not only charge the iPhone but its Apple Watch and AirPods.
At that time there was no official date released for this date, but there were only rumors that it will be released sometime in 2018.
there were rumors that the device is going to be released in March 2018, but that date came and went, and Apple didn’t say anything about that device in any of the major announcement events since that first announcement.
In June 2018, there were reports coming that there were some technical problems with the device that it was overheating because of the requirement of charging three devices at once.
It was predicted by some experts that Apple was hoping to launch this device in late 2018 or early 2019.
There are reports coming out Apple has since resolved those technical challenges that it faced with the device.
