Samsung has been spot on with the software updates this year, and this has been true for both the Security patches as well as major OS updates.Without any doubt, the most awaited update right now is the Android Oreo update, and we have heard plans from Samsung Turkey, that the company will try to deliver the final build around Jan 2018, next year, which isn’t far anymore. You may already know that currently, the 3rd stage beta testing is being examined.
However, according to new reports, the Android Oreo 8.0 beta 4 for the Galaxy S8/S8+ may start rolling very soon, this is as per the Admin from Samsung UK beta testing community. Furthermore, he also added that the final stable build of Android Oreo that was thought of arriving by the end of in Jan 2018, could also get delayed. And you may then expect it to advent from Late Feb 2018, which is disappointing.
Apart from that, this can also extend if any major bugs arise or if the development team faces any more issues. With that said, Samsung with beta tests, won’t longer keep the curtains down and should officially convey a somewhat realistic timeline. We know that exact dates are impossible, but an acknowledgment of the issues would just keep the Oreo questions in check.
So, make sure next week you check for the next beta, that’s the 4th stage of Android Oreo 8.0 on your Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+.
